Download launcher — Windows 64-bit

First run installs the full game (~3 GB). Keeps itself — and the galaxy files — current.

Install
  1. Make a folder, e.g. C:\Games\Stardust (or use a copy of an existing SWGEmu folder).
  2. Unzip the download there and run Pre9Launcher.exe.
  3. First run downloads and verifies the game, then asks you to run Options once (resolution/audio). Click Play when it turns green.

Windows SmartScreen may warn about an unknown publisher: choose “More info” → “Run anyway”.

Using your own launcher or an existing install?

Any SWGEmu Pre-CU 14.1 client can join without Pre9Launcher — configure it by hand (you take over keeping these current; they change when the server updates, so re-check this page after each release below):

  1. Download mtg_patch_001_appearance_01.tre, mtg_patch_002_appearance_02.tre, mtg_patch_003_appearance_03.tre, mtg_patch_004_appearance_04.tre, mtg_patch_005_texture_01.tre, mtg_patch_006_texture_02.tre, mtg_patch_007_texture_03.tre, mtg_patch_008_texture_04.tre, mtg_patch_009_Shader_01.tre, mtg_patch_010_object_01.tre, mtg_patch_011_files_01.tre, mtg_patch_012_configurable_01.tre, mtg_patch_013_configurable_02.tre, mtg_patch_014.tre, mtg_patch_015.tre, mtg_patch_016.tre, mtg_patch_017.tre, mtg_patch_018.tre, mtg_patch_019.tre, mtg_patch_021.tre, mtg_planets.tre, mtg_patch_022.tre, stardust_01.tre, stardust_02.tre, stardust_ninja_fix_r1.tre into your game folder.
  2. In swgemu_live.cfg under [SharedFile], set maxSearchPriority=51 and add, directly above the default_patch.tre line:
    searchTree_00_26=mtg_patch_001_appearance_01.tre
    searchTree_00_27=mtg_patch_002_appearance_02.tre
    searchTree_00_28=mtg_patch_003_appearance_03.tre
    searchTree_00_29=mtg_patch_004_appearance_04.tre
    searchTree_00_30=mtg_patch_005_texture_01.tre
    searchTree_00_31=mtg_patch_006_texture_02.tre
    searchTree_00_32=mtg_patch_007_texture_03.tre
    searchTree_00_33=mtg_patch_008_texture_04.tre
    searchTree_00_34=mtg_patch_009_Shader_01.tre
    searchTree_00_35=mtg_patch_010_object_01.tre
    searchTree_00_36=mtg_patch_011_files_01.tre
    searchTree_00_37=mtg_patch_012_configurable_01.tre
    searchTree_00_38=mtg_patch_013_configurable_02.tre
    searchTree_00_39=mtg_patch_014.tre
    searchTree_00_40=mtg_patch_015.tre
    searchTree_00_41=mtg_patch_016.tre
    searchTree_00_42=mtg_patch_017.tre
    searchTree_00_43=mtg_patch_018.tre
    searchTree_00_44=mtg_patch_019.tre
    searchTree_00_45=mtg_patch_021.tre
    searchTree_00_46=mtg_planets.tre
    searchTree_00_47=mtg_patch_022.tre
    searchTree_00_48=stardust_01.tre
    searchTree_00_49=stardust_02.tre
    searchTree_00_50=stardust_ninja_fix_r1.tre
    Remove any older pre9_jedi_r* lines and files.
  3. In swgemu_login.cfg:
    [ClientGame]
    loginServerAddress0=login.stardust.swg.ninja
    loginServerPort0=44553
  4. Optional quality-of-life (in user.cfg, and make sure swgemu.cfg has .include "user.cfg" uncommented):
    [SwgClient]
    	allowMultipleInstances=true

    [ClientGame]
    	0fd345d9=true

Verify downloads against /api/v1/checksums?path=<file> (sha256); the full file manifest is at /api/v1/files. Launch SWGEmu.exe directly — never the official LaunchPad (it reverts cfg edits).
